Pulmozyme reaction

Hi,

So I started taking Pulmozyme a week and a half ago. From what I've been told, I am to do physio about 30 minutes after.

I half assed the physio on Sunday because I was going to the gym. I thought I'd make it to the gym within 30 minutes but it was more like N hour. I did my workout and felt short of breath. I had a horrible night, tight chested and wheezing.

Yesterday I did the pulmozyme, physio for about 15 minutes and then went to the gym for cardio for an hour. The reason I was there for so long is because I felt the wheeze and was trying to breathe heavily and move stuff out. No luck.

Went home, more physio. Slept and woke up feeling worse!

Now. I decided I'd start the zithro (I've been holding off) 3 times a week and hope that helps.

I have also been completing the rest of my inhaled meds later at night AFTER the gym.

I am going to change things up a bit. Ventolin > Pulmozyme > physio > inhaled meds & tobi immediately after and also the zithro 3x a day. Ok try it out tonight and if I still feel this bad tomorrow ill call my doc.

Have any of you experienced this type of reaction to pulmozyme? Any tips? I felt much better OFF at this point.

Do you have an asthmatic component to your CF? Every now and then dnase makes me have asthma, because I have a very strong asthmatic component. Sometimes I only do dnase once a day if that happens. But if you are feeling worse overall, then maybe you are sick and need to call your clinic. Goodluck to you.

I do have an asthmatic component. I think that's what's happening here. I'm definitely not sick. I think I'm just reacting to this amazing drug that could be so helpful! Very frustrating.
