Same here- I was told (and read) 24 hours as long as it isn't frozen or exceeds the recommended temp. If I am just going on a 5 hour or less road trip, I don't bother to refrigerate mine if I know there is a 'fridge where I am going <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .

I've been told by my doctors that you can tell if its bad by looking at the vial - if the liquid has become cloudy, its not good. It sounds like you should be fine.
