so i took my pulmozyme with me in my car 'cause i'm staying at my boyfriend's house tonite (like the good little CF patient I am), and i got tied up @ work and accidentally left it in my car for about 3 hours. now i'm wondering if i ruined it. it's only a few doses, but that stuff's expensive!

any ideas on how long you can realistically leave it unrefridgerated?

i'm thinkin' i should probably keep a stash of pulmozyme at my boyf's place now LOL!!!!

I think 3 hours is probably okay. I wouldn't go much further than that, but if I left it out for 3 hours, I'd still use it. In fact, I'm sure I have left it out for 3 hours at least once before.

If it wasn't over about 85 degrees or so, 24 hours is fine... read the package info I think the temp tolerance is listed there.... we had an entire box sit out overnight and both the pharmacist and the manufacture stated 24 hours and the exact temp range (can't remember for sure but about 85 seems to be what I remember)

I know this doesn't totally answer the question, but I noticed something cool (pun intended) the other day when I received a delivery of tobra for the eFlow. The "stay cool" styrofoam package it came in had a little indicator sticker on the inside of the lid. It changed colors to indicate how much heat exposure the package had received. Now I don't have to wonder if the delivered stuff is still good even if it's been on my front porch all day. All I have to do is check the indicator!
