Yes, the old CF cocktail often does have cromolyn, which was more or less added because of many patients having allergies. If you don't have that component, you may not need it. Also, if you do use it, you have to monitor your eosinophil count because it can cause eosinophillic pneumonia, albeit rare. The main thing is to dilute the mucomyst to avoid a bronchospasmic effect.
