Pulmozyme

I was just thinking today because of my son being in the Dunufosol research study they have to do the drug 3 times a day, I wonder why pulmozyme is only done once. I realize they are 2 different meds, but I wonder why one would need to be done 3 times and the other only once. I did look at the Genentech website and it said some patients may benefit from twice daily administration. I wonder who these people are and who the ones are that would not .

I've done it twice a day before. Usually when i am sick and really congested my Doctor would have me do it twice a day. Also when i was in the hospital in Oct. for hemoptysis they had me doing it twice a day also . Some benefit from it, some dont . I also read that those with lower pft's may benefit from it being done twice a day.

I've done Pulmozyme twice a day, but only when I'm not doing well (I'm talking like 5 days out of my whole life). I've never made a habit of it, because the rx is once a day. Don't know why, exactly.
