Do you mean we can trade in Andrew's 7 1/2 year old monster ABI machine for a smaller unit? ABI became Hillrom, right? Same company? This would be great! What is the procedure? Does there have to be something wrong with the original machine in order to do a trade in?</end quote></div>

All I know this point is that Hill Rom called me and said that they are working with all CF clinics at some point to assist any patient who has a monster vest to get a newer, smaller one. They have done about 8 clinics so far and are now working with mine.

They are the same company and their doesnt have to be anything wrong. They are seeking reimbursement for it from the insurance company, but it is not the full value since they have the trade in.

That is all I know at this point......

be careful. those "monster vests" as they're called, or the HillRom 102 or 103, have superior waveforms to the HillRom 104.

Superior waveforms help bring up more mucus. Think twice before you decide to trade your "monster" vest in.
