question about getting pregnant

I was just wondering what meds the doctor had you stop or what they had you take when you got pregnant/planned on getting pregnant?

I'm on albuteral and advair plus my enzymes and they told me to stay on all of them. I actually stopped the inhalers for about the first 4 weeks, but then found I needed them and went back on.

I didnt do any nebs before my pregnancy or while on them. I did do precautionary antibiotics that alternated monthly. All of them were not my usual ones & were more maintenance that was safe to the baby. I also have epilepsy which required additional folic acid to counteract the affects of that med on the baby. I ended up in the hospital for iv's for 2 weeks before delivering, but for the life of me cant remember which meds they used. I know they did NOT use Tobra since that was a regular one for me, but could have bothered the baby.

nothing changed for me. I stayed on my enzymes and inhaler when needed. I had problems with constipation, stool softners did the trick.

NOthing changed for me either. Other than when hospitalized they did not do tobramyacin because it can cause deafness in the fetus. I could still do Tobi however since it is taken directly into the lungs. They didn't feel that it would harm the baby. If you check out my blog you will see that I have a beautiful little girl and the drugs had no effect on her. She was also born 6 weeks early due to complications with CF.

I stayed on everything except zithromax. I did iv' at 32 weeks for my first one and 38 weeks for my second one (TObra and fortaz). Both of my girls are health normal little girls.

i dunno if this is a good place to add on a question too but it was in teh subject about pregnancy!!! so my question is.... In general what did it change in your body like... well, was it harder to breath, um like i guess i am asking about complications what not...? I am really wanting to try to have a child, and i was trying to find people with cf that has had babies that has spoken about it and i cant find a story about it!! any info would be great thank!!!
