question about medical alert bracelet's

Do you wear a medical alert bracelet, if so what
do you put on them so in the event you cant speak
for youself they know your medical problems.

Ry wore one. It said his name, my number, and see wallet card. Then on the card we had the fact that he had CF, the medications he was on, the fact that he needed physio etc. Also other people's numbers in case they couldn't get a hold of me.

Yes CF is a reason to get one. It affects your health, right? It's probably a good idea.

On a random completely unrelated note... can I kindly request that you stop typing in caps, please? Something about it is very displeasing to the eyes.

sorry i dont even relize the caps things... i dont pay attetion to computer lingo!! but anyway, what would the braclet say... cystic fibrosis and what else... i mean in an emerg.. how would that matter havung cf or not and all my meds would not fit on that braclet... thank jenn

It's personal choice. I noted above what we had on Ry's, and on the card was all his meds, as there is no way they'd fit on a bracelet. My main concern with the bracelet and card was that they would be able to contact someone, namely me, if he got hurt or something. You can't trust that ER doctors know what Cf entails....

Allie, thanks for the link, I've known I should probably wear one, but I never liked the way they look-such an obvious advertisement that there's something wrong with me. Those look really quite wearable, I could blend one of those into my jewelry, thanks for sharing.

Yah, that was the same way Ry was. So it was either find a 'normal' looking one, or I'd have to kill him out of frustration, or at least lock him in the house. lol.
