Jessica-It doest matter which side family it comes from that doesnt make it mutually exclusive that the baby couldnt have CF since it could be on BOTH sides of your family.

She should definately make the doctor aware of CF presence and maybe you could go with her or print her off some sort guide to give her doctor? You know situation best so follow your gut and in mean time I will pray it is not so. You may want to keep Jaelyn away just until you figure it out since she has PA.</end quote></div>

That's why I was so annoyed with my MIL thinking that she could just be tested and then thinking she could tell everyone on her side of the family, they were okay. Friend of mine's granddaughter has CF, but her grandson isn't even a carrier.

And then I was so frustrated with our own cf clinic because DH's cousin wanted to be tested and they were discouraging her to do so, even after she explained that her cousin's child has cf.

Thank you for sharing. When I first came to this board in June, I read how you cannot allow the girls to be around Dalton. It split my heart in two for you and your family. I cannot say what I would do. No one knows really until they have walked a mile in your shoes!! I just pray I never have to. My heart goes out to you!!
