QUESTION ABOUT

Well, as the day has passed things have gotten worse. You can now here me breathing across the room. I am constantly wheezing and coughing up a whole lot of crap.

My question is......I have an old flutter of Courtney's. Do you think this will help me? The purpose of the flutter is to make you cough all that crap up, correct? Also, could someone explain what "huff" coughing is?

Second....anyone have any home remedies for a bad chest cold like this? I would try just about anything right now.

As time passes I really think I need to get tested for CF. Growing up I had problems keeping weight on and always seemed to have some type of chest cold. Now I seem to get pnuemonia every couple of years. The only reason I have not been tested yet is because I have REALLY crappy insurance. We are in the middle of trying to change companies, and as soon as we do I think I am going to request to be tested.

Thanks for any advice.

I hope you feel better.

I can suggest a few recipes but do not do all of them in one day ok?

Take a teaspoon of apple cider vineager and put into a steam pot and breathe in.

then you can put in a few drops of tea tree oil into a steam pot and breathe this in as well. Do not do them together.

To cough- make the sound of huff out loudly with mouth wide open. Say the word Puff loudly. So you are huffing and puffing not to be cute it works.

Then you can gather up some pillows on the bed and swing your arms wide and up and then go down on the pillows like you are going to do a pushup and huff out. The force you create with your arms in the air and throwing down into a pushup will help you cough it out.

here is a very interesting list of remedies. Maybe you have some of these in your home?

Good luck and do not worry. That never helps

anony.......thank you very much for the advice......i will try them (not all at once....lol)

Liz.....I have an appointment for tomorrow, but wondering if I am going to be able to wait that long. I am really struggling to breath.

Courtney knows to stay away from me. When one of us is sick I confine them to one side of the house. I also have been walking around with a bottle of lysol. Poor Courtney didn't know I was sick and tried to hug me this morning as she was leaving for school....I was in the middle of a coughing fit and could not tell her no. I literally pushed her away. You should have seen the look on her face! Once I explained she was okay though.
