Question for whoever is in charge

I am very curious about something and after reading the post about last nights chat, i feel compelled to ask this question....
When someone comes on the board and is constantly rude, ignorant, hurtful to others, and very consistantly starts trouble, when do you decide its time to ban? I have watched this behavior for a long time and am curious why nothing has been done about this as of yet? I used to be the owner of a (car) chat room and message board and would have never allowed it to go on this long.
I am not asking this to start a big argument, i am just curious as to how long bad bahavior is allowed to continue before a warning or something getting done about it.
I also bet im not the only one wondering this

HI, I'm not too informed about chats, blogs, and other stuff. But what I read here is interesting and informative. I know there are more supportive, "sweet," people on here. The thornier ones have good points and information, too, though, no? If "attacks" aren't personal, then can't the ark hold a few warthogs and donkeys as well as bunnies?

Yes. This is a very good point. While the person most of you is thinking of in regards to "etiquette" may be thorny, she does offer a lot of good information to the site. I say people who have hurt feelings... either ignore her, or block her. She even suggests that herself --- often. If you don't like her, block her. Problem solved, and the rest of us can still enjoy her and her many useful contributions to the site.

I agree with you Emily on the "ignore her or block her" as many of us have done, and i also agree about the good info. But i ,and many others are seeing it as .... does the good really outweigh the bad ? When is enough .. enough ?
I can see when someone offends someone occasionally , or inadvertantly, but what we have seen time and time again isnt exactly what you would call occasional or inadvertant, it would be considered deliberate at this point and probably should not be ignored (or tolerated) anymore.

A lot of people that have come to this site, have told me they left because of all the negative people on this site. I refuse to leave, this is just as much my site as anyone elses. I disagree with others all the time and I don't get my feelings hurt when others don't agree with me, but I try and not personally attack others.

I once blocked Amy, and then I felt like I was doing a diservice to new people and my friends on here. I think a lot of people like to read Amy's posts to see the drama she brings, it's like an addicting soap opera to some. Personaly, I think of myself as the Amy police, and will call her out and put her in her place. Yeah maybe she has some value, or had, okay, so we all know Warrick, and she was not the first one to tell others about the eflow, it has been discussed for some time, if u do a search about it, but u would think she invented the thing. Everytime she trys and tell someone they are not a good parent or not doing the best for their health, I chuckle thinking how miserable her life must be and how proud her mother must be of her. But then maybe I should not judge someone that is dealing with a terminal disease that is progreesive and chances are will probably be deceased in the next 10 years, sorry, that was a lack of compassion, but just how she views this disease in the litttle kids that have CF. IF she only had a bad knee to worry about, I'm sure she could smile more.
