In the meantime, until you check all this out with the doctors, you can sleep on an incline. This is what they tell people with GERD to do, so that the contents of the stomach don't leak out into the esaphagus. You can try propping your pillows, or there are special incline pillows for this. Or they say put blocks under the head of the bed. I have even seen where it says 6 inches, but you can try a lower incline, and slowly increase until the symptoms subside. You can try this, unless your doctor has some other reason why this may not be good for you -- I wouldn't want it interfering with your night feeds -- so always check.
