questions about nebulizer machines

We use the PulmoAide 5650D for my daughter's albuterol and pulmozyme. We're going on vacation and I was going to find one to buy by my parents and just leave it there. I'm having trouble finding this model. I also have a PRONEB Ultra and a compact PulmoAide model #3655D that are smaller that I could pack and take w/ us. Our doc says these don't deliver the pulmozyme like the 5650 does and she only gets 10% of the medication. Do any of you use the PRONEB Ultra or the PulmoAide 3655 w/ your pulmozyme treatment and what do your docs say about it?
Thanks!

We use the PRONEB Ultra for pulmozyme, and this is what our CF clinic told us to use. I'll try to attach an article from the CFF. It's about what nebulizer/compressor to use with different meds. I found if very interesting.

We use the pari proneb ultra with a pari neb cup when travelling. Seems to increase the treatment times a little bit, but much more compact that taking the devilbiss pulmoaid with us. L

I found the CFF publication interesting, thanks for posting it Teri.

When we nebulized Tobi, we used a face mask that covers the nose/mouth for our then 19-month old. She is now 28 months old and nebulizing Albuterol and we are still using the face mask. I often feel like medication is being lost by using it.

Is it better to use the mouthpiece? I'm going to be asking about this next time I talk to our clinic, but any thoughts on this would be appreciated!!

When DS was first on Tobi, he was 3 months old and I asked the doctor about the mouthpiece -- how do you get a newborn to inhale. He told us using the face mask was adequate. DS is 3 year old and still uses a mask for both pulmozyme and tobi. He has on occaison used the mouth piece and has me plug his nose -- thinks it's funny - but it's short lived and we figure we're more consistent using the masks. L

I also found the CF publication very interesting. It looks like, by this publication, we can use one of the other compressors that we already have like some of you are. Thanks for the info on this.
