I always associated my quick, sharp pains to a plug in the lungs. I breathe shallow a breath or two then I take one or two deep, quick breaths b/c it almost feels like it pops it.

I rarely have experience pluersiy but its more of a dull, constant pain that sharpens with breaths in.

As far as becoming pancreatic insufficient later in life, yes. In fact, that is one of the reasons why my doctor suspected CF with me (along with some nagging lung issues). I was dx'd at 34, I am almost 38 now. A sharp pain in the lung for me is either pleurisy, a muscle spasming up on me or an infection. An infection for me also has a dull feeling if that makes sense.
I hope this helps..

Thanks for all the responses. It helpful to know that I'm not a complete hypochondriac; <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I tend to overanalyze every little thing and then wonder if it's just me or if anyone else has the same problems.

My FEV1 are usually in the 90%. My last test, on the 10th, was 105%. I'm not even sure how that is possible. I've felt more congested and been a bit more sob than usual. They wanted to see what my culture came back with before putting me on anything.

I honestly don't know what my mutations are. I will definitely have to find out. I vaguely remember them telling me when I switched to the adult clinic that they weren't sure what one of them was.

JustDucky, (I love the name btw) what were some of the changes you noticed when you became PI?

Thanks again everyone!
