Quick baby update

Just a quick update... I didn't get admitted today (yeahhhhhh!!!). I packed a hospital bag this time, unlike last time. I figured if I did that, then I wouldn't get admitted. Looks like it worked

All 3 babies look great, the fluid levels in all of the sacs are good and they were all practicing their breating. The doctor says this was great to see because they don't do it 24/7, just occasionally. So for her to be able to see all of them practicing thir breathing in a 15 minute ultrasound was really encouraging for her... she said babies in distress don't do this.

We didn't do any measurements this week... that will be next week. I'm having contractions every 8-12 minutes, but they aren't too strong so that's good news.

My cervix is still at 2.9cm and closed, so no concern of preterm labor at this point.

I'll have Mark take one tomorrow amy. I'll just post on here when I've updated it to the site. I don't know if I'll look bigger, because I keep measuring (every night, LOL) and I'm still 45.75 inches around (and have been for about a week) but the babies are still growing. They are just growing UP into my lungs and chest cavity.

Thanks Seana, how are you? I haven't heard from you much lately. Hows the family???

Your belly might not have grown out, but maybe got rounder & possibly dropped. I think its great to have that VERY last pic (except for being in the delivery room of course....unless you want LOL) before popping! Are ya nervous? Scared? Hell I am!

Well at least you will have a bag packed when the time really does
come. We didn't even get that far. I am glad
to hear you little ones are doing good. I might be a little
behind, but do you know what the sex of your 3 babies are?

Hey Julie (and Mark),

GREAT NEWS!!!

That is soooo cool that babies practice their breathing while in the womb. I had no idea. Just what exactly do they do?

Thanks everyone!!! Froggy, you make me laugh. I told Mark you said that and he was like, "she's just like you". I go gaga over babies.

Craig, it's about 1/2 lb a week give or take a bit. Cassie seems to be gaining the most, at a little over 1/2lb a week. Part of that is because the boys share a placenta so they are having to split what she gets 100% of.

Yes, I am starting to get a little scared mel. and freaking out over stupid things like asking my husband, "is it rude to say I don't want anyone holding the babies except you (and of course the nurses) UNTIL I get out of recovery and get to hold them?". He told me, "whatever you want honey" but I cant' help but think I'm being a little immature. I'm just afraid my babies are going to know everyone BUT me. My mom said it's normal to worry about things like this at this point, so that makes me feel better . I'm also worried about how the heck I'm going to breathe on the OR table. They laid me almost flat yesterday at the appt to check my cervix and I freaked out because the babies all wound up on my lungs (gravity of course) and I couldn't breathe. In the OR, they have to have you completely flat.... oh boy. Not scared of the epidural (I've had a spinal tap before, somewhat equivelant) or the cutting, just scared of the "babies sitting on my chest" feeling. LOL

Hughett, we are having 1 girl (cassandra) and two identical boys (Tristan and Ryland).

Claudette, with the practicing breating they usually open their mouths, and inhale, exhale. But the doctor was watching their chests rise and fall and then watching their mouths which were wide open. It was so cute.

I dont think I forgot any questions..... ask again if I did. SOrry

cool update. good luck - you and the babes are in my prayers. I vote for another belly picture!! I found it so interesting to see the location of various veins in the pictures over the weeks.

Hi Julie !! Long time, no post :) (I've been pretty busy lately)

Just wanted to chime in and say that is wonderful -- your belly pics are great -- so unbelievable how far out you go -- seems like they are just going straight out -- the other "funny pics" are great too -- the "even bigger beach ball" one in incredible!!!

Anyway -- the animal pics reminded me about when I took an infant CPR class with a pregnant friend, who asked the firefighter instructing the class about cats and babies -- she too had experienced the cats thinking everything in the house was for them, and wondered if they would crawl into the crib once the baby got there -- the firefighter said that the stories go way back about cats smothering/suffocating babies by laying on top of or too close to them and the baby cannot move away -- just thought I'd pass it along.
