Quick insurance question...

Has anyone had luck reversing a decision by their insurance carrier to require maintenance meds to be ordered through their pharmacy? We are now required to order all maintenance meds through Express Scripts and I was just asked by a rep if we wanted our HTS in tablets or capsules! I miss CF Services so much and want to be allowed to switch back. Has anyone successfully done this, and if so, how?
Thanks!

We use to use Express Scripts which was the "prescription provider" under our health plan. The plan has since switched prescriptions plans. We never had a problem using CF Pharmacy, but I think that was more CF Pharmacy itself.

I do know that my doctors have successfully greaved decisions of such for other patients. Granted I dont know what insurance carriers they had, but its happened. Julie had fought tooth/nail to get Boost covered. It took her 3 years, but she got it.

Thanks Melissa,

We have always had Express Scripts as our provider, but since the first of the year we are now also being told we have to use the Express Scripts mail order pharmacy for all maintenance meds. Do you use the pharmacy as well, or are you still working with CF Services pharmacy to get your scripts?

Express scripts actually called us and said WE HAD to go thru them for maintenance med's. We have been and still are going thru a local pharamcy that was approved thru my husbands employer. So make sure you actually have to go thru them, may want to check your work handbook.

Just a thought
