Is anyone here on Guaffenisin (sp) ? Ex: Mucinex, Robitussin, prescription? I thought I have heard of Cf'ers taking it (other than the reason of trying to become pregnant). I am trying to brainstorm some addtional ideas on how to get this nasty mucus out of me!

If so, I would like to hear your thoughts. Does it work?

I sometimes take Humibid, it is pill form Guaifenesin

I take 2 caplets twice a day sometimes to get the Junk up.
It works well for me, Drink a lot of water and I never take
them on a empty stomach.

I am.
After having 3 embolizations almost in a row at the beginning of this year my Dr.s did not want me to do any chest Pt, or anything inhaled (other than my inhaler ( albuterol) and Advair) . I asked my Dr. if i could use Guaifenesin whather it be muicinex or generic form to help with loosening mucus and they gave me a prescription and i've been taking it ever since. It def. does help me to loosen things up and feel clearer.

Yes, I have taken some form of guaifanesin for more than 20 years. I couldn't stand to be without it. If I run out and skip doses, it is very noticeable how much thicker my secretions are. I take Mucinex (don't get the one with an antihistamine included!) twice per day.
