I was told today that it is ok to do your albuterol and your pulmozyme while vesting.. (was told in the past not to do pullmo w/ vest) This is a new center for me, and a lot is different (i think for the better) How do you guys do it? I have also just started Tobi and will start HS after Thanksgiving.. Thanks for any help/info..

WHO told you to use PUlmozyme while vesting?

THat is an expensive drug to be wasting. I would not. I am really interested in knowing who said to do this?

I was told the only thing to do while vesting is HTS. You can't take deep enough breaths to get the albuterol in deep enough, that was what I was told. And the TOBI and Pulmo are very expensive to be wasting and you do that when you neb and vest...it just happens

personally i prefer to not do any med while using the vest, even though that increases my treatment time by so much but here is my routine that i feel works really well as long as you dont have back issues which i have had lately so i find it hard to do even my own routine but here you go

1 albuterol/atrovent
2 pulmozyme
3 vest 30 min
4 flutter/quake whichever you prefer
5 10-15 min cough fest (this is the part that i cant do right now do to the back pain from a herniated disc L4-L5) also id say one of the most important parts
6 tobi
7 go to work
8 get home from work and then repeat
