This is great! I think it is what we have been doing all along.

Though, my 17 year old shakes his head and gets a little frustrated when he wants me to make the decision for him and I start asking him how he feels, what does he think he should do, and so forth. When I got a scholarship offer to pursue a degree in psych, he about died, and said, "well you would be good at it." I jokingly asked him,"How doe you feel about that?" and he shook his head and announced I'm going to my room, "pleaseeeeeeeeeee".

I like hearing about stuff like this as it confirms when we are on the right track, need to make adjustments or changes in our parenting.
