recurrent colonisation with pseudo

So i was reading my annual review letter today and on there it said :

1) Recurrent colonisation with Pseudomonas Aurignosa

this may sound like a dumb question but if something is already colonised, how is it recurrent?]

I hope it just means mine keeps coming back when im ill and when im healthy i dont have it in my lungs..ahh i wish

My personal opinion: Most "recurrent" infections are ones that never really got cleared up but only got knocked back enough to fly below the radar. If it really got cleared up, it shouldn't come back unless you were somehow re-exposed. For me and my kids, figuring out if and how we are being re-exposed to something can help us beat it.

If it really got cleared up, it shouldn't come back unless you were somehow re-exposed. For me and my kids, figuring out if and how we are being re-exposed to something can help us beat it.
