Regarding Suicide

Let first start by saying I do not have CF and I am a Catholic. I watched my grandmother die a slow and painful death. She had multiple myloma. It is a horrible cancer that hides, so by the time it is found it is often to late. A year after she died I had to put my cat to sleep. I watched and thought what mercy we have for our animals, but not for our fellow man.
So I feel if one is terminally ill and wishes to end his/her own life and they are of sound mine they should have the option.

I'm a christian but fully intend to take myself out when i consider death to be a more pleasant alternative to life. If god has a problem with that, well too bad. I've lived a good honourable life and have always strived to be a good person and do the RIGHT thing always, even when it's the harder of two options. I hope he will forgive me for my one decision that is ultimately i guess, selfish. I won't ask anybody to help me, nor will i tell them what i'm up to, i will simply do it and leave letters for my family and friends. I made the decision a long time ago that under no circumstances will i allow myself to die in hospital, strapped to machines and unable to breath for myself or talk. My family and friends will not be surprised i don't think, they know me too well <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I TOTALLY have your back on this one Hon! AND NOT ONLY FOR FOLKS THAT HAVE DISEASES LIKE CF! I have ALWAYS felt that it is our INNATE RIGHT as HUMANS to be able to DECIDE that we are DONE!!! I mean who has the right to tell ANYONE that they HAVE to stay here when they just ARE NOT having a GOOD time!!! I always found it fascinating that suicide is #1 AGAINST THE LAW! AND #2 A SIN!. I BEST STOP now I do not want to cause a stir like I did re: SICK people having KIDS!!!
