Also, one thing we ran up against at National Jewish (Denver, CO) is that b/c they have one of the oldest CF populations many of their stats for PFTs etc aren't that great. A lot of patients come to NJ for lung transplants and when they're doing poorly b/c it's such a renown lung hospital, but unfortunately that all plays in to the stats for the patient population there. So just b/c the numbers might be lower, doesn't mean the care is bad...in fact there it's the opposite. The care is so good that people go there when they're not doing very well.
