There are more sizes to choose from, even the option of having a custom vest made, which ensures the most effective therapy you can get. It's quieter and more comfortable, which means compliance is more likely to happen on the part of the patient.
The best advantage is that you can customize how much shaking you want. It has a "quick start" feature which automatically cycles through 10 3-minute wave cycles designed to increase in pressure and frequency without any additional input from the user.
Its more comfortable with a port. The hoses lock in and don't pop off.
For me personally, I was never able to get anything coughed up with the HillRom vest. It just didn't fit well enough, and the intense shaking was too violent. It made me queasy. This is going to sound dorky, but with the respirtech, I actually LOOK FORWARD to doing my vest treatments because I know it's working. My FEV1 went up and has reached a stable level since using the Respirtech vest.
I really hope you'll be able to get it. It's WONDEFUL!
