Responses to GF diet

My daughter and I still do not know if we have CF (but going through DX process)- however, we've been living for a year as "celiacs" thinking we had celiac disease. This is in part due to the fact that some of our symptoms improved (slightly) with a gluten-free diet. For example, our stomachs felt slightly better, we went longer times without upset stomachs, and I had less "funk" in my throat to constantly swallow and cough. The change was small, of course, but notable enough that I thought we'd found our magic bullet, at first...only for things to never improve as much as they should.
Has anyone else ever had a positive reaction to a GF or dairy-free diet? Any improvement is a good improvement! What do you guys think?

My daughter was just cleared of the possibility of Celiac's, so i've done some research. What I found is that the GF diet makes most people feel somewhat better -- our bodies really weren't intended to consume large quantities of highly processed wheats. But that those with Celiac's would have such a major difference and see terrible episodes if they did consume gluten. I'm thinking of moving my whole family to a modified GF diet just for health reasons.

My SIL's BIL (got that lol?) has Celiac & his whole family started on a GF diet. Everyone feels much better.

My SIL tried it & she also felt better. My bro isnt too keen on change, but I bet he would also.

It makes sense in many ways especially if you already have issues with your system

Before Lili was diagnosed with with CF her dr suggested celiacs disease. We went on a GF diet and her digestive issues got better. After about a month there were still some issues so that's when the possiblity of cf came up.
