Ringing in the ears

Mention to your doc that you're having hearing problems. I have moderate hearing loss due to Tobramycin over the years. I can't make out voices anymore in my left ear, so I've had to learn to cope with that. The bad news is that the effect of the drugs are cumulative, meaning there's probably not much chance of your hearing coming back. The positive news, is that the loss is conductive, meaning it can be very easily fixed with a hearing aid. I'm in the process of going that route myself.

For the ringing, which is especially bothersome at night when all is still and quiet, I put in a foam rubber earplug. White noise helps too.

Interestingly enough, veterinarians have discovered that the same thing happens in dogs. The following article is about canines, but it has relevance to us too since it's about hearing loss and antibiotics.

Hearing aids should stop the ringing. Good luck!</end quote></div>

My audiologist said that hearing aids don't stop the ringing, however, the ringing is at such an incredibly low level that hearing aids, by amplifying the sounds we expect to hear, make the ringing far less noticeable. In other words, the ringing can't be stopped, but it can be mitigated.

Thanks everyone, I was having my blood level taken weekly and it was never outside the normal, if it was it wasn't a crazy amount and we adjusted the dose, like I said, it started on the tail end of being on it for the 7th week straight (after 4months before with only two week breaks after every four weeks) and then I again only had a two week break before we had to start iv's again.

I did say that if my hearing doesn't get better I would get hearing aids.

HairGirl;

As I mentioned above, Chinese Medicine offers a few possible cures for ringing in the ears. The most important thing to do is to take action as soon as possible.

The accupuncturist / herbalist I saw all those many years ago had a lot of experience treating nurve damage and she was convinced that I would have had better results if I had sought help sooner. She came highly recommended to me!

I too was fitted for hearing aids many years later (six years ago) and found them to be more trouble than they were worth. The ringing in my ears was present whether I wore them or not. The only thing they did was make certain sounds louder.

The fact that you are young gives you a good chance of restoring your hearing and reducing the ringing.

Best of luck:

Sincerely:

I guess it's different for everyone then. Everyone i've spoken to who has gotten hearing aids had the ringing in their ears stop. I guess it depends on how persistent the ringing is and also which type of aid you get. Yes, some aids are stronger than others so that could also be the case.

I definitely would try acupuncture. I am sure it would not hurt to trace your all your meridians as well as sedating your triple warmer meridian.

the other day, I had the worst headache and found out through muscle testing it was my anti rejection medication that was causing it. I was able to rid my body of the allergen from the drug by sedating my triple warmer and reprogramming it. I put the pill on my body while holding various points along with sedating the triple warmer meridian and energy pathways. I also worked on the alarm points.

Within five minutes the headache stopped pounding and when i got in the car to drive off, the headache was completely gone and I danced for hours throughout the party.

What I am thinking is MAYBE it could be possible to<b> reduce </b>the ringing in your ears with Donna Eden's method of Reprograming Triple Warmer from attacking friendly forces? If you have that particular medication that is bothering you and you could do what I did to get rid of the headache it is worth the effort.

All you do is place the allergen or substance that is causing problems on your body and do the daily routine and hold sedating points. When you feel an equal pulse on all points you are finished. It takes about seven minutes.

I use this technique with my sinus mucus when I test weak (through muscle testing) and use it on occassion for one of my drugs.

It allows my drug to work more effectively without causing any side effects.

I JUST WISH, I could teach this to everyone. I bought my doctors the book and told them what I am doing. Since what I am doing is considered Alternative, you know what that means. Alternative is fine but if it is wonderful and works, they would never do studies.

I lOVE Energy MEDICINE and to me it is a MIRACLE treatment. Of course you need to practice things daily to keep yourself healthy.

RISA I love your passion about the alternative things. You remind me very much of my sister with your out looks. I appreciate the fact that you have an open mind for this and that it works for you. Keep up the good work

ROSHELLE I am sorry you are having problems. I have found that the "white noise" I hear in my ears ever so slightly (sounds like a teeny tiny tv that has snow on it) turns to a slight ringing is when I notice it. I also have difficulties with monotoan voices or tones (like my hubby). Yet there are times I can hear things from another room. All hearing tests I have had come back fine so maybe its not a lot to worry about for me. I hope with some of the info give to you that you can fine relief. I also have you in my thoughts for the surgery!!!
