RIP Sweet Melissa ...

Every 2 months, an RN from my daughter's home health agency comes to visit and re-certify Bek for continued service. Our appointment time today was at 3, and I didn't get home from work until 2:55; she pulled in right behind me. I had to wait to get on the computer to see if there were any updates yet. She left here at 4:15 and it is now 6:20. I didn't need to read anything when I came to the site and saw Mel's sweet face instead of the usual info. I started crying because I knew. I have been sitting here reading the posts from everyone for the last 2 hours and crying.

I was not able to get to know Mel as well as I would have liked due to taking on-line classes in the evenings, but for a while, I would try to look in every couple of days to see what was going on and Mel always had a comment for every thread. She was such a tremendous part of this community, always offering help in any way she could.

Mel, thank you for being one of the first one's to welcome me the only time I was in chat. Your personality showed thru in the words you wrote (and yours, too, Joni) when I told of Bek's father being an idiot and not doing her treatments. You all were ready to go kick his ass! LOL!

I will miss you, Mel, so very much. Your family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

OMG I am so sorry my thoughts go out to everyone close to Mel. I to have not been posting on here much lately but I check in from time to time and always tend to run into mels comments and posts. She has touched everyone of us! RIP Mel Breathe Easy.....
