I've been kind of in a slump mentally recently for various reasons, so haven't done my sauna in a while, but when I was doing it, it really did agitate the mucous really good and got stuff moving. I plan on starting it up again, maybe tonight. To me the best course would probably be to do the oils and hack like mad (the cinnamon oil is extremely agitative) and then do your vest right after that with maybe some albuterol to open you up...I bet that would get a TON of crap out of your lungs, because a couple times after doing the inhalation oils my nose was runnin like mad and I could feel a ton of previously undetected goo rattling around in my chest. A vest right after that would probably make you very clear.

Where did you decide to buy the oils other than OO (Thyme, Clove, Cinnamon). Also, you mentioned a water soluble OO was this from www.p-73.com site? I'm ready to give this a try for a mo. and see if it helps/hinders. Last night in bed I had really bad popping/cracking sounds in my lungs like you mention you have as well. My husband seconded that it was extra loud this time.

I *HAD* those pops and cracks, I no longer have them after staying on a regimen of oregano oil. You can buy everything you mentioned on the internet via google and reputable sites. As for brands, NOW foods is a decent brand to get the non oregano oils that you are lookin for, I know they have the thyme (white), clove, and the cinnamon oil (the real good stuff - NOT cassia oil). Just google the stuff up, you can find a ton of different stuff, but as I said I recommend the NOW foods brand of those oils. As for the oregano oil, if you want to neb it I recommend the water soluble H2 OREGA from north american herb and spice from the www.p-73.com site. They don't have a way to directly order it off their site, but you can actually call them and tell them you havent been able to find it anywhere else on the net, and you want to buy it through them directly. The guy on the phone with me was more than happy to sell it and ship it to me. The water soluble stuff is more expensive than the regular stuff because they don't make that much of it, and the process is to make it is more time consuming. Give atleast oregano oil (via inhalation/nebulized/oral drops etc) a good month worth of use before you come to any conclusion. As for the others via inhalation via the sauna, I look at it like a good accompanying treatment to a main treatment. I haven't used it religiously like I have the oregano oil, but I do see it's benefits.

A word to the wise, the cinnamon oil is very gnarly! I would use 1 drop of the cinnamon oil mixed with the others say in the morning, and then at night don't add a drop because some of the residue is still in there, and the stuff is like breathing in mace.
