During my pregnancy, I was hospitalized in Oct, Nov and Jan, and then of course, had my baby in Feb and needed recovery time. I lost so much lung function over that time==FEV1 from 80% to 49%. I was beginning to think that I was heading towards my deathbed.
Last I checked my lung function was up to 72%. But here's the best news: I'm feeling great! Last night at the grocery store my husband was pushing the cart with baby and my 4-year-old and I were race walking and even running to pick up the items we needed. It felt so good to be able to keep up with him and beat him occasionally and not be SOB. I can't remember the last time I felt so energetic and had so much fun running! Just thought I'd share my positive! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
