Salt for a newborn

I was going to ask this same question so thank you for asking it before me!! I am going to have to invest in one of these. My son is 3 1/2 weeks old and we had our first appointment yesterday and he was put on the enzyme, multivitamin and 1/8 tsp of salt. I can get the enzyme and vitamin in him just fine, but with the salt he screams, sputters and gags for about 30 mins after giving him just a little salt off my finger (that's how the nurse suggested to do it multiple times throughout the day). This woould be so much easier!!!
