Salty Hands

First off I know people with CF have excessively salty sweat. Lately I have noticed a residue on my hands and I tasted one of my fingertips. It was extremely salty, more so than usual. So much so that I feel that I have to wash my hands to get the residue off. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I should mention this to my CF doctor, whom I’m seeing on Thursday? Responses are greatly appreciated.

I get that from time to time. At least for me it isn't consistent. Just like Frank and Jonathan said it's probably just a normal CF thing <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

During the summer, DS usually has salt crystals forming in his hairline and one of his baseball caps is white from salt. Ditto with his t-shirts. Sweats out a heck of a lot of salt.

yep. My husband get his jollies drawing pictures in the salt crystals deposited on my skin after I sweat. That's just the way it is for me. If you are losing that much salt, might want to think about supplementing it.

Yep!!! I am my dog's salt lick during the summer. I haven't noticed my hands but get it on my head and arms.
