Science experiment

Here's an idea for an experiment/demonstration a 4 year old can understand for lung transplating:

Take two balloons and fill them with air. Start of with a narration of; "these are CF lungs", and as the air is slowly let out, the narration can say "these are CF lungs as time goes on", and then when the air is gone, another balloon can have air blown into it, and the narration can finish with "this is a new cf lung".

Viola'!

Courtney did a science project about CF in the 4th grade.

I can't remember all the details but she put different foods in a bowl of water and added her enzymes. She watched them to see which foods broke down the quickest. She then explained about CF and why CFers have to take enzymes.

She not only won her classroom award for her project, but won the school award and went on to the district science fair.

If you are interested, I will see if I still have any of the info on that project and what exactly we did.
