Sensitivity to Albuterol and such

I second Mel's question, what kind of reaction?

I'm strange with albuterol. Occassionally it makes me very shakey, jittery, and makes my heart race, but most of the time I am perfectly fine afterward.

I also get very jittery when taking albuterol. I also get heart palpitations, which annoys me more than anything. I spoke with my doctor about this, and he prescribed Xopenex instead of Albuterol. I still get a little jittery with the Xopenex, but not nearly as much as with the Albuterol.

Hi JazzysMom, I been on Xopenex for over 6 years, because Albeuterol did make my heart race. But now Dr.Simon want me to go back on Albeuterol. I dread the switch back to Albeuterol. Thanks for the information, I am going tell Dr. Simon no way I am staying with Xopenex.

The first time Makailyn was put on albuterol was when she went in the hospital for an emergency,,,and they realized very quickly that not only her heart was racing,, (which is normal) but her heartbeat was going and jumping all over the place and they told us to never let anyone ever give it to her..
But, she does fine with Xopenex...

PS practicing for Holloween,,,Makailyn(on the right) with her best cousin,they are a few days apart in age.
