Serum Sickness

We started Amikacin, Cefoxitin, and Bioxin in mid-December to treat atypical mycobacterium on my 4-year old. Everything was going great for the first month. The results were much better than expected. Then, last week, she developed a pain in her wrist that moved to her ankle and finally to her knee. The doctors seem to think that it is serum sickness caused by a reaction to the Cefoxitin. We are waiting on the results. Does anyone have any experience with this?
