Hey there,
I had the same thing with the wheezing not the shortness of breath though. I was nebbing the OO for about 2 months. The first month all was well I was coughing more and getting more up but overall felt good. About halfway through the 2nd month I started noticing wheezing, which I never had before. I had to stop the OO because I thought that may be causing it and I needed it to stop cause I was mainly getting it at night and I was having a hard time sleeping because of the noise. I stopped it and had noticed it stopped, but also the gunk I am coughing up is getting darker than what it had been the past few months. I have only been off the OO a few weeks now.
I posted before a thought I had about the OO, I thought it helped but maybe not something I personally should use long term. Maybe you could try using it a few weeks at a time. Like TOBI but instead of a full month 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or something. Just a thought. I haven't tried it myself, but am interested in trying it when I get off the oral antibiotics I am on.
Hope the wheezing and shortness of breath gets better. If you stop the OO and it doesn't improve within a day or 2 I would call the doc. Just my opinion on that it may be something totally unrelated to the OO. I know my wheezing stopped within a day or so but I also started seeing streaks of blood in my sputum for a few days after a full 5 days the blood streaking was gone and the wheezing as well. I actually felt great after those 5 days like a rejuvenated person then started a 2 week cycle of Cipro and started feeling bad from side effects.
