Showering with a port-a-cath?

Hello!

I hope that this is not a repeat topic, I did look around, and I didn't quite find anything, so I just thought that I would ask!

I have a port-a-cath, and I've only had it for about 4ish months, and luckily, I have only needed to use it once, but during that time, I wasn't able to take a shower or anything. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to cover an accessed port.

I have tried the seran wrap and lots of tape around it, but it was still going to get wet, so needless to say, I ended that shower quickly.

Just thought that I'd ask!

It also helps if you switch your shower head to a hand held type. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
