This just happened to me. I am still fighting it. I was on IVs in Septemeber and was sick within a week or two of being off of them. Now I am having flare ups every few weeks. I agree...what a waste of IVs!
As for the Picc's. I came home from the hospital having low grade temps. The dr said it's common that the picc caused a small blot clot and I would have temps until it disolves.
Do your dr's check your sputum to make sure they are giving you the right a/b's? Also, do they do peak and troughs to make sure it's the right dosage? That may be a given, but you never know...should be standard though.
