Hi, I'm new here but very happy to meet people with similar issues - I'm in a bit of weird situation and could use a second opinion. <br><br>I was sick about 3 weeks ago, and my doctor put me on 2 antibiotics, neither of which I was very impressed with (one of them caused some pretty bad side effects). Yesterday I went to the followup expecting to be told they didn't work, time to step it up to IVs, the usual. <br><br>That didn't happen when I did my PFTs and found my scores increased across the board by more than 10%. My doctor said I should just stick it out with the nebs and allergy meds (I have a lot of seasonal allergies and general sinus congestion) and take a break from the antibiotics. I <span style="font-style: italic;">feel like roadkill - my chest hurts and I'm coughing frequently, which isn't normal for me (I hardly ever cough if I'm feeling 'good', only when doing some kind of airway clearance). It's a weird position to be in - I've never had to convince the doctor that I'm sick and need meds, it's usually the other way around.<br><br>Has anyone been in a similar situation? I didn't see anything on the board, but I could have missed it. I'm particularly interested in knowing if things got better on their own or you ended up back on antibiotics of any kind, thanks!<br>
