Sick of treatments?

I agree with the laughing really hard and then being thrown into a coughing fit....
I agree with what everyone has said so far but to mix it up a bit... having huge coughing fits in public where you have to cough a whole bunch of stuff into whatever you can find first... or while you are driving (all the while trying to avoid crashing)... Always fun times =)

I was just talking to my boyfriend tonight about how we should all have a certain number of "get out of jail free" days where we can skip vesting and still feel good =)

I get so tired of them too. Especially when I feel healthy. I feel
like i'm doing great, why should I have to keep all this crap up? I
never miss a pulmozyme treatment, but I skip my HS if i'm just too
bloody tired or I just don't want to do it. It's my little
rebellion. Keeps me sain, I guess. I skip pills occasionally when I
just feel like I don't want to swallow One More Thing, let alone
22. I can empathize. Keep going though. Like tim allen says in
galaxy quest "never give up! Never surrender!" in that
cheesy we're making fun of star trek voice. if you haven't seen the
film, i hightly recommend.
Of course! We are only human.

I also get sick of walking the dog every day, vacuming the same dog hair up every other day, making the same monotonous cup of instant coffee b/c I can't drink regular coffee anymore, sick of remembering to take vitamins.

It's all part of monotonous life-we just got an extra dose of monotony as cfers. So I try to make doing these things fun as possible-therapy time is when I surf the internet or read my trashy tabloid magazines!

My doctor always says that if she asks a patient-"So how's it going with the vest and therapy?"-and they reply "Oh, great, I just love my vest. Therapy is fine, I'm doing my 2 a day."-She always knows they're not doing their therapy. A love/hate relationship with therapy is normal. If you loved it, then it probably wouldn't be work, b/c everything of worth in this life comes with work.

Hang in there. Try to find a guilty pleasure you can read/watch while you do therapy as long as you still concentrate on the therapy. Maybe Desperate Housewives??

I know exactly how you feel. I once stopped treatments for 4 years. I paid for it with a serious bout with pnuemonia. Nowadays I try to keep up with treatments whether I feel like it or not cause I know every little bit helps.

Treatments are monotnous and time consuming I could diffanatley do without them, but since they do help us live longer, I guess we are stuck with them until they find a cure.

Right now, I'm sick of the boys' IVs. Its been 7 months. At first 4X a day now 3X a day for two boys. Its a never-ending chore.

We have NO flexibility to our lives. IVs at 6, 2, 10. Mix, meds, deliver meds, get ready for the next meds.......

On a lighter note, Josh is due to end this course of IVs on Thursday. I just got him all tegadermed for the shower and we talked about being done with the meds. I said at least now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it was a very LONG tunnel. He smiled and said "at least the ceiling panels didn't fall out of MY tunnel"! (people from the Boston area will appreciate his reference to the BIG DIG and the unfortunate incident last summer when a woman was crushed to death inside our new tunnel). Apparently we have a better contractor!

Absolutely!

I'm sick of taking all the pills, doing treatments, exericise, feeling clear then junky, clear then junky, and do it all again the next day, and the next.

I prefer spontaneity!

I am so so sick and tired of medicine and being sick.

I am also so tired of coughing in public and having people immediately look at you and give you "that" look. Just mind your own business
