Side effect

I am currently taking IV Tobramycin and Ceftazadine.
My ankle joint and muscles around the ANKLE started aching.
I have had other joint pain in my HANDS while on these drugs in the past.

I heard its not uncommon to have this problem while on these drugs.

Anyone else experience this?

I had I.v. Avelox turn my veins bright pink and it made me ache allover. I would tell your Dr. about it and if it really bothers you demand he have a look at it for you.

I know for a fact that joint/muscle pain is a well documented negative side-effect of Levaquin. It only occurs in certain people, though, and it can cause tendon issues too (It was finally attributed to the medication about a year ago).

I agree with Mikeinfla, you need to address this issue with your medical physician ASAP, and if need be, get a second qualified opinion.
