Sinus congestion...

The last two days I have had a horrible stuffy nose! I can hardly breathe through it and when I can, I am sniffling gunk up...but I cant just blow the junk out. I have tried blowing my nose, but the stuff is basically stuck. I feel fine otherwise, so I am thinking it is just a random head cold, but what can I take to relieve the breathing issue? My throat hurt a tiny bit last night, but its ok now. And usually when I am getting a cold I generally feel sick, tired and downright crappy...so I dont think that is what is wrong.

Is there something like sudafed (OTC) that I can take? I hate sounding all nasty and junky. Thanks! I dont usually take anything for something like this because I can usually deal with it. But it is difficult to talk and teach when I cant breathe through my nose.

Yes I do sinus rinses twice a day...usually morning and night. But I have already done two today. It feels slightly better but I think it will come right back.

When I asked DS' doctor about using nose drops (decongestant) I was told no, but that was when DS was a baby. I knew antihistimines were a no-no due to drying.

Hopefully some others have some suggestions.
