Ayr is just a different brand with a squeeze bottle. When I bought it at the drug store they offered twice as many saline packages than the neil med package.

All the pieces of our bottle withstand going in our Avent sterilizer just fine, btw. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> You'd get a longer, more sustained stream of water than you would with a bulb & better control over water pressure, in all likelihood.

I had a lot of trouble cleaning the bulbs out when my kids were younger (I had one with a plug too but still didn't care for them.)

Thanks so much, I never knew there was such a thing as bulb syringes that open up! I could just boil them with my neb cups then.

I replace mine about every 2 months because I also use rubbing alcohol on the inside and out, but don't overly trust it to kill everything either.
