Sinus infection or not???

Hi
I'm Malora and I'm 16. I wanted to post this in the adults section because I figured that I'd get more feedback.
I have a lot of problems with my sinuses more than with my lungs. For the past like month to month and a half I've been sick. The first time I went to see the doctor they told me I did have a sinus infection which I actually did think that because of the way I felt (my face was hurting, stuffed up nose, and I was getting nose bleeds which was actually new). They put me on Bactrim for 2-3 weeks and vitamin k to stop the nose bleeds. I had been feeling better, a little sluggish but the nose bleeds had stopped and sinuses stopped hurting. Well a maybe a week after I got off the Bactrim I started feeling like horrible again. My face was hurting me but it's only in the forehead area, my throat hurts, I'm constantly cold, coughing, and nauseated, and the only time I feel pressure in the rest of my face is when I'm laying down. I also have a lot of mucus caught in the back of my throat, and its not moving. My mom took me back too the doctors last week and the nurse thought it was the flu and the doctor thought it was a sinus infection. They tested me for the flu and put me on Avelox for 21 days. They didn't call back with the flu results which probably means I don't have it, and the Avelox isn't working. I'm also starting to have problems with my GI system, my GI doctor thinks it's the Avelox.

Any suggestions on what it could be instead of a sinus infection. And sorry for the Novel of a post.

I get pharyngitis 2-4 times a year. When I get it my throat hurts, I get head aches, sometimes my ears hurt (because everything back there is all swollen/irritated), fever and sometimes I cough more. Not sure if that's what you might have but I thought I'd mention it just in case!

Here is some info on it:

I hope you feel better soon.

The other thing that occurs to me is a head cold. Those give me a forehead headache, sore throat and extra mucous. It also means antibiotics won't help but may prevent a secondary infection from settling in. And you didn't mention if you have allergies or not, but I also get similar symptoms with an allergy flare-up.

Just my thoughts. Keep an eye on your temp ... and feel better soon!!
