Skydiving post tx

Well a few weeks ago I asked your opinons on skydiving post transplant. Having since had medical advice from transplant docs, I was told that in a year's time, all going well, I would be allowed to do a skydive <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Of course, there are big risks in doing something like this (its why you can't get insurance), but I think its a fantastic way of raising a bit of money for charity while doing something incredible. Just thought I'd update you all! x

That sounds exciting. Make sure your bones are strong for landing. Enjoy and sounds like a great Awareness and STORY. I hope you can achieve this dream

Funny you should mention the bones Risa, the doc wants to have a bone scan done first to make sure im ok. Better take plenty of calci chews!

If I were you, I would get my entire body strong. If your muscles are stronger, they will support your bones too. I would wait a year or more, until you are as strong as you can get. Believe and you will achieve!
