smell of mucus

Now here's a topic I can relate to. First off, I can't smell. I guess the 15 sinus surgeries have taken care of that. However when others can smell it (nice to be made aware of that isn't it!) I can taste it. This has helped me to try and get a handle on it when it starts. My ENT doc just last week commented on the "unique" odor while picking my nose. (how's that for a job). My almost always originates in my sinus's and works it's way down into my throat. And no... I can't describe the taste but it's not something I enjoy.

I can only occasionally smell stuff in my sinuses. Despite coughing up really thick gross stuff, I usually can't smell it. And I don't try to smell. I figure, if it smelled I would smell it, without trying.
