The problem with the scar is this: its about 1 1/2 inches above my belly button and is about an inch long vertically. I had surgery to correct a hernia and I was still growing so the scar widened. They also put some mesh stuff in to keep the hernia from popping out again, which could cause a problem if it tears away from the places where they attatched it. My mom asked about all this before the surgery and was told it wouldn't be a problem, then years later another doctor said that I should have the mesh and some scar tissue taken out before I have babies.

Julie, he was there on the 1st, then he went to dental yesterday. I don't know if you might have seen him there.

Congratulations Jessi -- This is such wonderful news for you and your husband! Isn't it kind of bizarre to know that he his test is negative? After we found out that my husband wasn't a carrier it was like a whole new world to us. I always assummed the worst (just my habit) so it actually allowed me to imagine being a mom someday.... best of luck to you! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

Dental is upstairs, so I didn't see him. I think I'm the only female wearing a maternity uniform in the downstairs medical area... just for reference.

I just tried to PM you but it didn't work.... ahh my stupid computer. About the flu shot ... we are runing out on base. I'll PM you tomorrow 8 AMish and let you know if they still have any. If they do, can you come in tomorrow? I'll have them hold one if you can. I'll be there until 11:30 (I pump at 11am and then leave) tomorrow, I'd love to see you!!!

That's geat news! And when you say UW-do you mean in Seattle? I had Dr. Edith Cheng at the UW as my OB both times and she was FANTASTIC! She deals with CF pregnancies and worked very closely with Dr. Aitken and Dr. Tonelli through both of my pregnancies! She was GREAT!! The CF clinic actually recommended her-and I can't say enough great things about her!

PM me if you want any more info-or you can email me too...my email is purvisfamily@qwest.net -

How exciting for you guys!!! We went through the carrier testing with my husband about 6 years ago too, so I can relate to where you guys are!
