OK. Well, if you haven't already, you really do need to email Julie at the email address she provided. She knows ins & outs of disability, health related discrimination, etc.

It would be easy to reply w/ "You do the crime, you have to pay the time".....because I have worked in the justice center all my life, but not sure if that is appropriate here. Without knowing the specifics, where I would start at is asking ,does he have a lawyer? I'm not sure if his CF disablity excuses him from jail or he is being disriminated against because they sound like they are provding some medical care w/ anitbiotics, just not enough.

When he was sentenced did the judge know of him medical condition, and if he currently has a CF doc, prehaps he could write to the judge and asked for him to be considered for early release to possibly be admitted into the hospital or home incarceration.

Wish I had better answers but hoped this helped a little. Don't give up, it sounds like your son needs you.

Last year a man named Kenneth Keith Kallenbach with CF died in prison in a similar situation. I don't have all the informatioin, but you may want to get in touch with his mother and her lawyer to see if this can help your case.

I'm sooo sorry. I hope you can find a way to help your son.

Thank you for your reply. I have, just yesterday sended out aletter to the sentanceing judge. And asking for him to be sent to the hospital, or home detendtion. I am hopping this will do some good.Yes he has a public defender. I do know he won't do any thing wrong when he get out.This has been a bad experance for him.
