sore knees

I started having pain in my knees when I was last on IVs years ago. The first time it hit was TERRIBLE - like my knees were on fire.

Now they get sore off and on - they almost never hurt to walk, but bending is where I have problems. This year is has spread to my left pointer finger as well.

None of my tests indicate arthritis, but it tends to flair up when the weather is bad or I am dehydrated (too much soda will take its toll). Advil does wonders when its acting up.

i've had arthritis pretty bad (at least i think it's bad) for years. my knees and ankles hurt fairly often. my hips pop a lot. my hands are the worst cause i spend 10 hours a day on a computer. it's basically a sharp soreness right in the middle of the joint. my fingers don't move smoothly while typing if it flares up.

i had osteopenia last time i had a bone scan. they said the testosterone injections would help with it but i haven't been rescanned in a couple of years.

i just deal with it. it's not bad enough for pain meds cause let's face it; there are way more painful aspects to CF than the arthritis. we eventually get used to dealing with constant minor pain.

I agree! Waking not so bad but bending or kneeling-- ack!

I also agree with the flair ups when the weather is bad or dehydrated. I don't drink pop but every 3-6 month, if that. I don't want it depleting my calcium.
