SourceCF

One week ago, my CF doctor started me on SourceCF. The first day or two, I didn't notice anything different. Then for the past 5 days, it has been constant bathroom trips.

I'll feel fine one moment and find myself running for the bathroom the next. I'm going around 5 times a day with just water coming out...Sorry to be graphic, but this vitamin really doesn't seem to agree with me AT ALL.

For the past 3 years, I was on a prenatal vitamin that seemed to work great for me. Now, that I gave up trying to conceive, my CF doctor wanted me to go back on a CF-oriented vitamin even though the prenatal had great results with my current vitamin levels.

So we tried SourceCF. I can't believe how much that disagrees with me...It's now Saturday so I can't do anything until Monday. It took me a few days to figure out that it was the vitamin. I was thinking it was something I ate for awhile until it lasted for 5 days...

I stopped SourceCF, and things are almost normal after only 1 day!!!

Any suggestions???

Jenny,

If the prenatal was working well for you, no deficiencies, then just go back on it. We only take supplements so our vitamin levels can get up to normal. If you found a supplement that works, stick with it. Why fix something that isn't broken?

The only other CF vitamin I know of is AquaDEKs.

Or (unless this is what you are on, of course) maybe you could try the children's chewable Source CF vitamins- you could try taking them a half in the am and a half in the pm if once a day doesn't work and if your doctor is insistant on a cf vitamin. Otherwise, I'd stay on the prenatals too, if there isn't a good reason why you shouldn't <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> .
