Specialists Communicating with each other? or are you the go-between??

Aidan sees the ENT more than the CF primary doctor these days. After each surgery, should the ENT be calling his primary CF doctor?? As of now, he doesn't. Instead, I wind up calling the CF doctor with the results and comments of the ENT.I hate being the go-between and I am sure I lose things in the translation. Am I off-base to ask the ENT to call CF doctor and talk about Aidan's surgeries and treatment plans instead of me doing it?? We use CHOP for ENT but we do not use their CF center, I am sure communication would be better if we did but at this time, I don't want to switch. Thanks!

Cheyenne see's her regular CF doc locally in OK, she see's another doctor in St. Louis, MO. The MO doc is real good about calling OK doc after he see's her, which is every three months. We are adding a 3rd doctor in OH, so we will see how that works out.

BTW, I dont think you should have to do the calling.

I don't think you should be the "go-between". For the very reasons you mentioned, it would be best for the doctors or their offices to communicate directly.

We are blessed because DD doctors all cc each other on the doctors notes when typed up. If it is more urgent they
email each other. Very seldom do I ever have to say anything. Keep in mind that all of her doctors are at
Children's Boston, including her primary.

I would ask the ENT to send a follow up letter to his CF doctor.
