I just tried to get Abby Disability and was turned down because I work. We pay out of pocket every month between 700-1300. That's more than my house pmt! We've been doing it for 4 years now and am finally at the point where we are starting to struggle. So we made the decision to try to get some help. We were turned down because we made too much money. And we are penny to penny people, my husband is a sherriff deputy and I work at a bank. I play with other peoples money but have none of my own to play with. They told me if I quit my job that I could probably get it. Basically if you work...you don't get help. They did not even look at what we spent every month and didn't care. They said that it didn't matter...bottom line is we made too much.

yes. Abby is 6 and she could have got it. You just have to make under a certain dollar amount. You can go on the social security website and find a lot of info.
